FAQ

Can I sign up someone else to take part in the CCO?

No you cannot. Everyone must sign themselves up and will be granted access to their side-specific channel(s).

I can't be there when the session begins. Should I still sign-up?

The sign-up sheet is for commanders to get an idea of what they will have available at mission start. If you'd still like to play, you will have to fill-in as a reinforcement slot. Pay attention to #reinforcements channel that is visible after mission start and get ready to join in.

Is my slot a specialty?

A specialty is any slot that has a dedicated role and/or equipment assigned to it that isn't infantry. Anything with a magnified optic is also classified as a specialty. Examples of specialties:

  • Sniper/Marksman
  • Any role in a tank, IFV, APC
  • Artillery/Mortar teams
  • Any role in a flying vehicle
Is my slot a leader?

Does it have leader in the name? Yes? Then you're a leader.

My sign up post has a red "X" under it. Why?

Sign ups have specific times that you can select roles. IE, leaders and medics will be signed up for first, then specialties, then infantry. If you sign up for infantry during leader and medic sign up, it'll be denied. Alternatively, the slot may already be taken or you may have tried to edit your original message. This isn't allowed to prevent slot stealing.

Why are sign-ups done this way?

In short, there's a lot of planning involved in a CCO. We have to make sure all community members from various communities have that communication medium through their respective side discord channels. We also want to make sure communities are together during the CCO so we allow community representatives to reserve squads ahead of schedule.

Can an entire side be reserved?

No. No matter what, at least one squad will remain public for anyone to sign up on per side.

Can I reserve a higher leadership position like first sergeant or platoon leader?

Yes. To do so, DM the commander of the side directly and clear it with them. They will then inform the CCO admin to add you to the roster.
