COALITION uses a very basic, but purposeful ranking and grouping structure. Ranks determine veterancy within the community and section, but mean nothing else.
Rank Structure
Rank Roles
Sergeants
- Sergeants are group leaders. They either have the role of running a section both administratively and in-game during action or are a staff sergeant in charge of a staff shop.

- Corporals are trusted team members within a section and the right hand man of the section leader. They have mastered the art of ArmA and are continuously looked to by new joins for guidance and instruction.

Recruits
- Due to the flaky nature of the ArmA community, all new-joins join the group at this rank. Every new join goes through a recruit period to ensure Coalition is a good fit for them and they are a good fit for Coalition. Recruits are scared, confused, and quiet creatures who you can normally find running into machine gun fire at the most inopportune times.
Group Structure
Coalition also uses a two-group system in order to keep the community organized. Each group serves a purpose both inside and out of the community.
Company
- The company is the backbone of the community. All members of the company are considered full members of Coalition and are assigned to a Section/Squad to play with in-game. Company members range from anyone in the ranks of Privates to Sergeants.
Sections
- As of 2024, the Company is divided into sections. These sections each have their own roles in-game per campaign as well as section leaders who administrate and lead all members of their section.

- S-1: Personnel - Shimavitz
- S-1's entire job is to manage personnel. Promotions, awards, section changes, etc...
- S-2: Recruiting and Applications - Stalin
- S-2's job is to ensure new applicants get processed and assigned to appropriate sections
- S-3: Operations and Gameplay - tanaKa
- S-3 ensures campaigns, operations, and mods are ran smoothly. S-3 also manages training and schedules.
In-Game
After reading all of the above, you may be interested how this is reflected in game, it's quite straight forward.
Campaigns:
During Campaigns, Platoon HQ consists of Staff Sergeants only due to them being in Headquarters in the discord. Sergeants, who lead their sections in the discord, are the leaders of the in-game squads named after their section, this helps everyone keep a sense of uniformity. Furthering the last point, Corporals take the place of Fireteam leaders and they manage the Privates and Recruits who are the rank and file soldiers.
