Getting Started

Welcome to Coalition! Just follow a few easy steps and you'll be able to join our Arma 3 sessions. We play twice a week, on Wednesdays at 1900 CST and on Saturdays at 1700 CST.

Download our Modpack

You can obtain the modpack by either of these two methods: Arma3Sync or Swifty 3.

Both of these programs are community-developed projects that allow you to easily download, install, and keep the mods we use on our servers in sync.

Connect to Teamspeak

If you don't have Teamspeak installed already, you can find it here

Once you have Teamspeak installed, you can join us at ts3.coalitiongroup.net

Test Your Modpack and Server Connection

Now that you have the modpack downloaded and are connected to Teamspeak, you can verify that everything is working correctly by launching Arma through Swifty or A3sync, and joining our Training Server.

If you are able to successfully join the server without any errors, you are ready to join our sessions!

If you run into any issues joining the server, post a screenshot of the error you are getting in the #tech-support channel in our Discord, and someone will help get you squared away.

Join a Wednesday or Saturday Session

Now that you have your modpack squared away, you're ready to join a session. 45 minutes prior to session, you should see a message in Discord letting everyone know 'Prejoin is Live!' This is a special prejoin map we run prior to session to let everyone have one final chance to make sure their mods are loaded, and practice on different weapon systems and get ready for session.

First join Teamspeak and move to the Waiting to JIP / Slotting channel

The slotting channel can be found here, at the bottom of teamspeak!

Once you are in the JIP channel, launch Arma 3 with our mods through either Swifty or A3sync and connect to the Session Server.

If Prejoin is still live, you can slot anywhere as slots are not important. However, once the actual session begins, you are only allowed to slot as one of these three roles

• Assistant Automatic Rifleman
• Grenadier
• Rifleman Anti-tank

• • Click "Join" on Swifty or A3Sync
  • When a mission is being slotted, you will slot when you hear "Recruits and Public Players"
    • If you join a mission late after it has started, please take a "Join in Progress (JIP)" slot at the bottom.
  • NOTE: As a Public Player, you are limited in the slots you are able to take:
    • Assistant Automatic Rifleman
    • Grenadier
    • Rifleman Anti-tank

• For new ARMA players

If you are new to ARMA or the mods we use (like ACE medical, or ACRE radios), we can give you a short rundown of the basics before session. All you need to do is ask in discord or TS! We also suggest you attend pre-join 45 minutes prior to session start. During pre-join you can test the modpack on our server as well as ask any questions that you might have!
