Promotions are done every 2nd and 4th week of every month and generally depend on activity within the community, contributions to the community, and ability to learn and grow as a leader. Keep in mind that the "triangle theory" is used for ranks in the community. This means there must always be more grunts than soldiers, soldiers than veterans, etc...

Recruit -> Grunt

Promotion from Recruit to Grunt is based on administrative decision. After attending sessions on a normal basis and showing up outside of sessions, Headquarters will promote you as soon as possible to Grunt status. Simply stay active, show a willingness to learn, and show that you want to play at Coalition.

Grunt -> Soldier

Promotion from Grunt to Soldier is done on request from the individual. Generally, a Grunt must at least meet these standards:

Have held the rank of Grunt for at least 1 month
Have been a member of Coalition for at least 3 months
Have a firm understanding of how fireteam leading works
Have a firm understanding of tactics used in session(s)
Demonstrated ability to produce content
Consistent community interaction outside of sessions

Soldier -> Veteran

Promotion from Soldier to Veteran is done on request from the individual. A Soldier must show exceptional leadership in-game as well as tactics displayed on a normal basis. Generally, a Soldier must at least meet these standards:

Have held the rank of Soldier for at least 3 months
Have been a member of Coalition for at least 6 months
Have a firm understanding of how squad leading works
Have a firm understanding of squad-level tactics
Demonstrate heavy asset use (Tanking, Piloting, etc..)
Have recommended people to join

Veteran -> Specialist

Promotion from Veteran to Specialist is done on request from the individual. A veteran applying to become a specialist must be an outstanding leader both in-game and out as well as a consistent producer of content. Generally, a Veteran must at least meet these standards:

Have held the rank of Veteran for at least 3 months
Have been a member of Coalition for at least 9 months
Have a firm understanding of how platoon leading works
Have a firm understanding of platoon-level tactics
Demonstrate an ability to plan missions according to Coalition SOP
Demonstrate an ability to fully control a mission from beginning to end
Have actively recruited people into Coalition

Specialist -> NCO

Specialist promotions to NCO are done on an as-needed basis. Headquarters will personally contact any Specialist who they feel would be a good fit as a Company NCO.
