From COALITION Wiki

As a note: Discord is a required part of this community. We recommend you also get the mobile app on your phone here for android or here for apple phones.

Discord is our go-to chat communication medium to keep all members informed on administration, mod repository updates, announcing when other games are being played, and just generally keeping in touch with others within the community. You'll notice members are organized by colors in discord. Purple is new members, green are full-time members (part of the company), and red members are staff (NCOs and Officers).

Discord Channels

In order to separate banter from mission design conversations, the discord is split up into different channels. All with their own functions. Some channels will only be avaliable to you when you’ve become a full member of The Coalition.

Welcome and Admin

  • Welcome: A self-explanatory welcome page.
  • Announcements: Usually important announcements made by HQ, such as modpack updates or forum changes.

Public Channels

  • Session (#session):
This is not a conversation channel. Announcing when pre-join is available and when missions are starting. Mostly handled by Coalitionbot
  • Repo (#repo):
This is not a conversation channel.Modpack updates and displays whenever the repo is offline for maintenance.
  • General (#general):
Anything goes in this channel. Post memes or just chat.
  • Tech-Support (#tech-support):
If you’re having any issues ArmA or non-ArmA related, post it here. Please be patient with each other.
  • Streams (#streams):
This is not a conversation channel.A bot-only channel that announces who is streaming.
  • Vietnam Server (#nam):

Member Channels

  • AAR (#aar):
After-Action Report, this channel is for pictures and videos of previous sessions. Also to chat about what went wrong/what was good with the mission.
  • Now-Playing (#now-playing):
This is not a conversation channel. If you’re playing something and want to bring some people in, announce it here. Also a channel for posting your stream.
  • Other-games (#other-games):
Anything not ArmA related, talk about other games than ArmA.
  • Listentothis (#listentothis):
Got a fat track you want to share? Post it here.
  • Blowingmoney (#blowingmoney):
A channel for all things buying. Discussions on sales will also go here.

Company Channels

  • Dining Facility (#dfac):
To discuss any Company business that does not need to be seen publicly. Mostly used for peer-reviews of new members, this channel can also be a place for Company members to hash things out if misunderstandings arise. Other
discussions that don't quite fit the criteria of the other channels are filtered into here as well. It would be best described as a General channel for Company and above.
  • Mission Design (#missiondesgin):
Any topic related towards the development of missions. This is not to be confused with the AAR channel, here the topics are entirely back-end developmental discussions (e.g., CMF, mission building help, scripts).
  • Suggestion Box (#suggestionbox):
This is not a conversation channel. Suggestions for the group as a whole on features to implement in one sentence.
If you have a suggestion on anything related to the forums, discord, teamspeak, in-game, the wiki, or otherwise, drop it here in one sentence and a @Company Specialist or @Headquarters member will contact you about it moving forward.
Ensure you do not make suggestions that are already made. Violations of the above will result in a mute in this channel.
