Entrances/Alleyways

When it comes to passing or moving through entrances or alleyways, there is a solid and effective way to do it. Keep in mind that it will not work for EVERY situation but the majority of time it will.

Important things to remember are keep someone always watching forward and rear. When someone moves to the next position, the rest of the FT needs to shift its view slightly to cover the view lines that have changed.

1)When you first approach any potential opening that could have enemies within it, they first thing you will do is stack your closest wall and maintain security of all possible flanks.

2)Once you have gotten full control of your surroundings, the lead of the group will peak his closest corner and secure the sector that he can see. He should not step in or do a full sweep in. You are responsible only for the 90 degrees of view you can see while leaning on the corner.

3)After he has secured the sector, he will prompt the next man in line to move, normally by saying "Set" or something similar. The second man will then move past slowly and secure the other 90 degrees of view. He will then post up on the opposite side of the opening and hold it. He will prompt the next guy in line once he is set.

4)Third guy in line moves across and takes point facing parallel to the wall and watches the forward facing direction. He will prompt the next guy when hes is set.

5)Forth man moves behind the current pointman and watches the next sector. Prompt the next guy to go when he is set.

6)Fifth man moves, grabs the next section of security and prompts the last man hes set.

7)Last man moves across, and will tell the 2 holding the entrance "Last Man" signaling them that all friendlies have made it across and grab the remaining sector to be covered.

8)Lead will then move from his position and grab the point again. The remaining man will then be in charge of rear security.
